Happy Friday! One more week this quarter!
Updates come out every Friday EXCEPT for the last Friday of the quarter (the KHSTA Newsletter will arrive on these dates). Please check your junk mail folder if you are not receiving them. Past updates will be archived on the KHSTA website (khsta.org).
NEA/RA DELEGATE ELECTION
The election will end on Monday, March 9th. If you haven’t voted, you will continue to get reminders until you vote or until you abstain.
BANKED TIME
It is that time of year when sites review and vote on banked time. Some sites may have already completed this process, while others are scheduled to vote next week.
For the upcoming school year, an additional minute will be added to the instructional day in order to bank time for an additional fog delay. This adjustment will allow for a third fog delay day as well as one additional one-hour early release day.
Site representatives should have worked with their administrators to determine the appropriate schedule for their campus.
Additionally, because next year’s calendar concludes prior to Memorial Day, the one-hour early release that would typically occur on that Friday will instead be moved to the preceding Friday, May 28th.

10 MINUTE MEETINGS
Your site reps will be doing monthly 10 minute meetings to help keep you informed. March’s topic is Transfers. The handouts/presentations from the 10 Minute Meetings are archived on the khsta.com website.
VIRTUAL TEN MINUTE MEETING
If you missed your site’s 10 minute meeting this month or if your site didn’t hold one, KHSTA exec board will be doing a Zoom meeting on the second Thursday of the month, at 8:00am and again at 4:00pm -- this month on March 12th.This month’s topic is Transfers.

CTA VIRTUAL PASS
CTA is again offering their virtual pass. This is professional development that CTA pays for that can be used to move over on the salary schedule for up to six units per column move.
