03/27/26 KHSTA UPDATE
Happy Friday! Next week is Spring Break! Please take some time to yourself and enjoy the time off.
Updates come out every Friday EXCEPT for the last Friday of the quarter (the KHSTA Newsletter will arrive on these dates). Please check your junk mail folder if you are not receiving them. Past updates will be archived on the KHSTA website (khsta.org).
SISC BENEFITS 10 MINUTE MEETING
There are a number of benefits that SISC offers that can assist in managing your health. Next month’s 10 minute meeting will go into detail about some of these benefits.
WILLS AND TRUSTS
KHSTA will be hosting another Wills and Trusts workshop on Monday, April 13 at 5pm at the KHSTA Office at 2441 F Street. If you would like to learn more about wills, trusts, probate, etc., this is the workshop for you. All members and spouses/significant others are welcome to attend. Please email Cathy Adams if you would like to attend.
SPRING ELECTIONS
We will be holding an election when we return for a State delegate position and a number of site rep positions that are empty. If you want to get involved, this is a great opportunity. State council members serve a three year term and the site reps will serve one year. Schools with site rep openings are Frontier (1), Golden Valley (1), Highland (1), Stockdale (1), District Office (1), and Nueva (1).
10 MINUTE MEETINGS
Your site reps will be doing monthly 10 minute meetings to help keep you informed. April’s Topic will be Know Your SISC Benefits. The handouts/presentations from the 10 Minute Meetings are archived on the https://www.khsta.org/10minutemonthly website.
VIRTUAL TEN MINUTE MEETING
We will be cancelling the virtual 10 Minute meeting for April.
CTA VIRTUAL PASS
CTA is again offering their virtual pass. This is professional development that CTA pays for that can be used to move over on the salary schedule for up to six units per column move. It’s a great way to move on the salary schedule. For more information on the courses, go to https://www.cta.org/conferences/virtual-pass/2025-2.
