Updates will come out every Friday EXCEPT for the last Friday of the quarter. Please check your junk mail folder if you are not receiving them. Past updates will be archived on the KHSTA website (khsta.org).
KHSD ANNUAL DISTRICT POLICIES
Today you should receive an email from KHSD Automation asking you to sign the KHSD Annual District policies. You are signing stating that you have received the policies. As an employee of KHSD, you are required to follow the policies. Once you sign, you will receive another email with the actual policies that you can peruse at your leisure.
PROPOSITION 3
Remember as you cast your ballot that Proposition 3 provides KHSD with approximately 192 million dollars every year. If it doesn’t pass, the loss of funds to the district will be catastrophic. There will definitely be cuts to staff and programs.
CTA RETIREMENT WORKSHOPS
CTA is offering retirement workshops on Monday, November 9, 2026 and Tuesday, March 9, 2027 for CalSTRS, and Thursday, February 9, 2027 for CalPERS. KHSTA will send a registration flyer when it is available.
WILLS AND TRUSTS WORKSHOP RESCHEDULED
The Wills and Trusts workshop has been rescheduled for Monday, November 16 at 5pm. It will still be held at the KHSTA Office at 2441 F Street. Park in the Pep Boys parking lot and enter in the back. We apologize for any inconvenience the rescheduling might have caused.
10 MINUTE MEETINGS
This month, the 10 Minute Meeting topic is Grievances vs Complaints. Site reps will be hosting a 10 minute meeting to tell you more about the difference between a grievance and a complaint. In case you can’t make that one, a virtual 10 Minute Meeting will be hosted on Thursday, Nov 19.

KHSTA offers scholarships for the following CTA conferences. KHSTA’s Exec Board reviews applications once a month, so please apply at least 30 days prior to the conference dates.
